With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist and three Division 1 championships, and reaching the Southern California Semi-finals of CIF in tennis. A teaching professional at Braemar Country Club and Mika's Tennis Academy, a former Special Education instructor, registered behavior therapist, adaptive skills clinician, mobility trainer, and physical therapist aide, and I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and Biomechanics. My name is Coach Leslie aka Coach L. I am an experienced basketball coach, trainer, and former player. who loves the game dearly.  I have played for over 30 years since the age of 5. I am a USA Gold licensed coach who trains players from age 2 to 18. I also have the ability to train college students as well. I currenty coach a club basketball team and a high school team. Therefore I am well versed in both individual skills and team aspects. I am a very detail oriented trainer that focuses on the fundamentals and mental toughness. My goal is to enhance the athlete with all of the basic skills through hard work and repetition so that they can translate their attributes onto the court within a team setting. My name is Desmond Frempong, and basketball has been my passion for over 30 years, playing through high school and coaching at both youth and high school levels. Hi there! My name is Skylar and I’m thrilled to be your coach. I’ve been playing pickleball for about 2 years and have been a licensed PPR coach for about 6 months. Along with my doubles partner I’ve helped build the pickleball program at The Griffin Club in Culver City.
