With a tournament win under my belt, I bring passion and expertise to every pickleball lesson. I come from a table tennis background since I was 10 years old. I not only work with adults but kids as well. If you have a pickleball addiction like me, I will help you improve any areas that you wish while having fun at the same time.

"Brian demonstrates a novel way of teaching by giving me the opportunity to identify my own mistakes based on the content that I learned from him on the spot. This exercise, along with the drills, helps me better understand the concepts that we learned today. If there is one improvement I have to state, it’s that the drop shot adjustments could be introduced better. Give them awareness that the balls can come at different height/different speeds first and then show them the techniques to handle such cases.

I am a graduate of Valparaiso University with degrees in music and theatre and I have been teaching piano, voice, and acting students for over 8 years. It is my personal philosophy that learning should be joyful and a ton of fun! I am a graduate of Second City’s Music Improv Conservatory, and I have taught young people and adults of all ages across Chicago and Los Angeles with Chicago Children’s Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, MA School of Acting, and in Chicago Public Schools. You may have seen me in the Romantic Comedy film Baking Up Love, in commercials for Smithfield, Pearson Textbooks, The Kentucky Lottery and more, as well as countless theatre productions and voiceovers. I can’t wait to tailor lessons to fit you and your goals, and to have so much fun singing together!

With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist with three Division 1 tennis championships and a Southern California CIF semifinal appearance. I currently teach at Mulholland Hills Country Club and Mika's Tennis Academy and have previously worked as a Special Education instructor, Registered Behavior Therapist, Adaptive Skills Clinician, Mobility Trainer, and Physical Therapist Aide. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Biomechanics. My students have earned medals from the 2.5–4.5 levels and qualified for USA Pickleball Nationals. He led Harvard Westlake to an undefeated championship in his first coaching role and has managed an academy of nationally ranked tournament players. With NFHS and CPR certifications, he brings both expertise and safety to his coaching sessions. Mikele has worked alongside a former ATP world #10 and two-time Davis Cup player as the sole assistant coach for his tennis academy, honing advanced skills in drills, workouts, and adapting to various playing styles. Staying in competitive shape himself, Mikele combines professional-level insight with a passion for developing players at all levels.
