With 25 years of playing experience and 13 years of coaching, I have worked with over 500 students of all ages and skill levels through private lessons, group programs, and summer camps. I competed semi-professionally on the UK Junior Circuit and received elite training from Nick Bollettieri at The Harbour Club in Chelsea, London. I earned my first PTR certification at the age of 12 and have continued to advance through multiple licensing levels. As a player, I served as high school team captain and later competed as the top seed during my college career in the UK. My coaching style is down-to-earth, supportive, and adaptable, allowing me to work effectively with beginners through advanced players. I am deeply passionate about tennis and about helping others grow—whether that means taking your game to the next level or inspiring a lifelong love for the sport.

I have been playing pickleball since early 2022 and received my PPR Associate Coach certification in June of 2023. Positive feedback from students reflect that I have a knack for easily explaining the rules of the game and can teach technique to beginners and intermediates in a fun and informative way. I have prior teaching experience in dance and gymnastics as a young adult. "Second lesson with Alex Lee and the progress is real. This time he focused on creating a relaxing foundation for how to hit powerful shots using my whole body. Instead of muscling the ball, he showed me how to let my hips, legs, arms and toes work together to generate power. He gave me clear cues that clicked right away. I could apply them in the next rally and actually receive praise from him on the spot, which helped me lock in the feeling. The greatest thing about this lesson was the shift from being a tense player chasing after every ball to being a relaxed player staying on my toes, moving toward the ball early and hitting a powerful shot that looks effortless. He would identify and mark the shots that looked effortless and have me pause to feel what my whole body was doing on good contact. Now I know exactly what that connected feeling is supposed to feel like. On top of that, the lesson showed me what flow state looks like when I am relaxed. Everything makes sense, you feel totally connected with your paddle and the ball, and the game just slows down.

I'm Katy, and over the past four summer school seasons, I've taught junior golf group lessons in camp clinics, catering to ages 3-18. Beyond that, I've developed my coaching skills through 1-on-1 instruction, working with individuals ranging from 14 to 55 years old. Back in 2017, I had the privilege of volunteering as a health & wellness advisor for a D1 Women’s Golf Team for a semester. On the competitive front, I've played against some top golfers like LPGA Rookie of the Year Jillian Hollis, Jessica Porvasnik, Clare Legaspi, Cindy Oh, and more. Before diving into our first lesson, I always start with an assessment to understand each player's personality, their mental game approach, and the unique ways in which they learn. From that foundation, our inaugural lesson will focus on observation—watching how you swing or play. After which, we circle back to mastering the fundamentals, complete with personalized drills. You get to decide the lesson's focus, be it putting, chipping, short game, or even a 9-hole playing lesson, all based on your golf aspirations. I believe in nurturing from within first. The ideal player I work with understands that a positive mindset is the foundation for a successful physical game in golf.
