I never got the cute girl but I did quickly became obsessed with surfing. Surfing is my life and I’m a surfer. I love to share the stoke of surfing! It’s the most exhilarating and rewarding sport. Actually, I would call surfing a lifestyle. I hope to meet y’all and teach you how to catch a bunch of waves and to appreciate the beauty of the ocean. Let's groove! I have been performing as a bassist for over 18 years, and teaching for over ten years. As an instructor, I meet students where they are and tailor my teaching approach accordingly. Lessons are collaborative; I want to get to know each student and your individual goals and learning style in order to create an open and comfortable learning environment. My extensive musical background allows you to choose music YOU like to play, and through each song we will work on specific technical, harmonic, and rhythmic concepts. I use my experience as an active working musician to inform the lessons and ground everything you learn in real-world application. About me: I tour the US and internationally with Future Teens, an indie rock band with over three LPs on our resume. Future Teens has been featured on NPR, The Boston Globe, and WBUR, and was Boston Music Awards’ 2019 Alt/Indie Artist of the Year. I studied bass performance at Berklee College of Music, where I earned the Bass Department Outstanding Performer Award and Scholarship. I have a BA in English and French from Skidmore College (‘13).
