My journey with golf began at the age of 6 when my grandpa crafted my first set of clubs. Since then, golf has been my constant companion, leading me to captain my high school golf team and all Riverside sport athlete of the year 2012. After high school I went to UCLA where I double majored in anthropology and philosophy, travelled the world, and continued to invest in my golf game. With a background in teaching and coaching, golf has become one of my favorite things to share with others. Its a lifelong passion that brings joy and fulfillment. As a coach, I'm dedicated to passing on this love of the game to others, guiding students through all aspects of golf, from swing mechanics to mental strategies, physical conditioning, and course management. Hi, I’m Coach Frida Monsalvo I’m a former Division 1 soccer player, All-American, and SCC Defensive Player of the Year with a degree in Kinesiology and a deep passion for helping athletes reach their full potential. I currently serve as the Head Girls’ Soccer Coach at Glen A. Wilson High School and as an Assistant Coach for the Mt. SAC Women’s Soccer Program. With years of experience as both a player and coach, I specialize in sports performance, speed and agility, strength and conditioning, and injury recovery—especially for athletes returning from ACL injuries. I’ve worked with athletes of all levels and ages, from youth players learning the basics to competitive athletes preparing for the next level. My goal is to create an environment where every athlete feels seen, supported, and challenged. I believe in combining science-based training with intentional coaching that builds discipline, confidence, and a strong mindset. I am a passionate tennis player who started training at the age of 5. Since that day, my life has revolved around tennis! I played professionally as a junior tennis player, participating in weekly USTA and UTR tournaments and leagues and winning over 25 tournaments. I also played in many academies abroad, such as Nadal Tennis Academy and Ferrero Tennis Academy. In high school, I played varsity singles number 2 and then singles number 3 in college. I am currently majoring in kinesiology, and I enjoy fitness training and playing tennis with my friends and younger siblings. I have completed the USTA Coaching Fundamentals Workshop, and I am currently working towards my coaching certification. I would love to share my vast experience and spread the enjoyment of tennis to peope of all ages! I like to focus on technique and biomechanics while keeping the sessions fun and entertaining--let me share my passion for tennis with you!
