"What a fun and friendly guy! And very knowledgeable about the game, the strategy, the techniques, and the equipment! After just 2 lessons, I felt Zak had imparted a huge amount of knowledge to my boyfriend and I, and immediately improved our skills. I would definitely recommend him!

I’m a 3-handicap golfer with experience playing high school golf, working junior golf camps, and helping golfers break into the 80s. While I’m new to organized coaching, I enjoy helping everyday golfers improve and have more fun on the course. I offer both range lessons and on-course coaching, focusing on course management, smart decisions, the mental game, and practical swing improvements to help you lower your scores and play with confidence.
"Really appreciate how patient Austin is! Really committed to his craft of teaching.

I began playing golf after working at a summer camp in the late 90’s. I signed up to coach basketball, but the Bulls were in the Finals again, so by the time I got to camp, the only sport left to coach was golf, and I had zero playing or coaching experience in that sport. I had been an athlete all my life and a coach for almost a decade by that point, so I figured, “How hard can it be?” I found out quickly it was very hard, but also challenging in a way that kept me completely compelled to learn. I spent that summer learning the game from 10 year olds. I vividly remember my mind being blown at the concept of hitting down, to make the ball go up. Fascinating! I got hooked, came home after camp, jumped into any and everything golf. I got pretty good quickly, played all over the place, signed up to attend a golf instructor school in 2002 and the rest is history. I’ve given thousands of lessons coast to coast, including Maui, Scottsdale, NYC, San Diego and even Tijuana. I have a deep knowledge of the game and swing mechanics, combined with a sincere passion to help anyone of any ability learn the game I have come to love so much. I’m looking forward to working with you soon! Thank you!
"My son (12) and I had our first lesson with Opie and he was awesome. He worked really well with my son and helped bit of us get our grip and form in the right place. We’re excited to continue to do lessons with him and see how our game improves. Definite 5 stars!

I bring a championship mindset and years of on-court experience to every athlete I train. As a former collegiate standout and professional player, I was a 2x PCAC Player of the Year, 2x All-State performer, and helped lead Southwestern College to a state-best 50–6 record before earning a scholarship to Cal Baptist. I’ve played tennis all my life, always having access to courts and developing a deep appreciation for the sport's unique rhythm and strategy. I believe that each player should develop their own style because we’re all different. My dad, a math, tennis, and boxing instructor, taught me that these disciplines share a lot in common. Mastering tennis is about perfecting your shots, serves, slices, and footwork, but it ultimately comes down to the mental game. On the court, you learn the "equations" of actions and behaviors needed to outplay your opponent, turning each match into an artful challenge of skill and technique. For me, tennis is about the joy of the game, not just winning or losing. It's a sport that starts with love and ends with respect—whether through a handshake, a hug, or a simple nod if you're too sweaty. Most importantly, tennis is always a good time, and it’s a lifelong sport that can help you live healthier and longer!
"He’s really good—I’m a beginner, and he explained the basics really well. He also taught new techniques that helped improve my backhand and serve. Very professional and easy to learn from!

Thanks Alayna. I’ll be signing up for more lessons this week and look dorward to working with you again next summer.
