I’ve worked with NBA players including Victor Wembanyama, Zach LaVine, Josh Giddey, Dyson Daniels, Patrick Beverley, Payton Pritchard, Trae Young, Julian Champagnie Egor Demin & many more! Every workout is custom-tailored to the athlete. My philosophy: embrace the suck. Development isn’t always comfortable, but the athletes who refuse to quit are the ones who improve.

I bring a disciplined, game-tested approach to coaching basketball that balances technical rigor with enjoyable challenge. I have taught basketball for several years, specializing in fundamentals, tactical development, and individualized progress plans to help players reach their potential.

I believe what makes me a good pickleball coach is that I’m very detail-oriented. I pay close attention to the small things—footwork, paddle angle, positioning, and shot mechanics—because those little details make a big difference in a player’s improvement. I also make learning fun and easy to understand. I know everyone learns differently, so I break skills down into simple steps and explain the “why” behind each technique. My goal is to create a positive environment where players feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and enjoying the game while improving every session.

I’ve played 2 years at an NCAA division I program competing in the WCC. In high school I went to the Division 2 CIF southern section finals. As well as a 2x  Junior National Champion. Although I’ve decided to center my college career solely on beach after 2 years, I spent my last two years of college head coaching for indoor volleyball.

Hello, my name is Stephen! I’m an Orange County local pickleball coach with a passion for teaching everyone of all ages and skill level. I enjoy coaching the fundamentals, with an emphasis on effective dinking, third shot drops and transitioning to the kitchen. I am a current 5.0 level pickleball player with a 24-2 record. I have helped develop players of all skill levels & age ranges and I bring a positive spirit that makes pickleball fun!
