When I picked up a paddle just 2.5 years ago, I had zero athletic background. No tennis, no racquetball, nothing. It was just me, a paddle, and the curiosity to see what this “pickleball game” was all about. Fast forward to today, and I’m now a 5.0+ DUPR rated player who has medaled in 14 out of 15 tournaments, including the PPA Tour. My most recent win was achieving gold at the 5.0 level. What sets me apart isn’t just the wins—it’s how I got there. I broke my left hand three years ago (yep, the one I use for everything), so I taught myself to play right handed. The result? I became a true two sides of the court player with a special knack for left side dominant play. Combine that with my experience partnering with left handed players, and I can give you unique strategies for lefty/righty pairings that most coaches are not aware of and never even considered. As a seasoned pianist for 10 years, I bring award-winning experience to every lesson. I tailor my approach to each student, fostering a fun and engaging learning environment. Together, we will unlock your musical potential. My lessons are open to beginner to intermediate students of all ages :) I will adjust the learning pace and music to play based on your skills! I would love to share my understanding of music and the many useful techniques that can make your music sound even more elegant. I will also introduce music theory knowledge based on the level of pieces you are playing, to make harder pieces easier to tackle. A typical lesson would involve warming up with scales, playing music pieces of your preference, learning tips to polish your performance, and learning music theory. My goal is for you to enjoy music like I do, and build strong foundations to master difficult piano pieces!

I worked as a professional pianist for over a decade in the Southern California region ranging from choral accompaniment to ballet accompaniment. I have paired it with a decade of teaching and getting students to score well on their RCM and ABRSM exams with high honors and distinction. This allows me to set students up with valuable skills that the professional pianist uses every day.
