Hi, I’m Coach Frida Monsalvo I’m a former Division 1 soccer player, All-American, and SCC Defensive Player of the Year with a degree in Kinesiology and a deep passion for helping athletes reach their full potential. I currently serve as the Head Girls’ Soccer Coach at Glen A. Wilson High School and as an Assistant Coach for the Mt. SAC Women’s Soccer Program. With years of experience as both a player and coach, I specialize in sports performance, speed and agility, strength and conditioning, and injury recovery—especially for athletes returning from ACL injuries. I’ve worked with athletes of all levels and ages, from youth players learning the basics to competitive athletes preparing for the next level. My goal is to create an environment where every athlete feels seen, supported, and challenged. I believe in combining science-based training with intentional coaching that builds discipline, confidence, and a strong mindset. I am a graduate of Valparaiso University with degrees in music and theatre and I have been teaching piano, voice, and acting students for over 8 years. It is my personal philosophy that learning should be joyful and a ton of fun! I am a graduate of Second City’s Music Improv Conservatory, and I have taught young people and adults of all ages across Chicago and Los Angeles with Chicago Children’s Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, MA School of Acting, and in Chicago Public Schools. You may have seen me in the Romantic Comedy film Baking Up Love, in commercials for Smithfield, Pearson Textbooks, The Kentucky Lottery and more, as well as countless theatre productions and voiceovers. With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist and three Division 1 championships, and reaching the Southern California Semi-finals of CIF in tennis. A teaching professional at Braemar Country Club and Mika's Tennis Academy, a former Special Education instructor, registered behavior therapist, adaptive skills clinician, mobility trainer, and physical therapist aide, and I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and Biomechanics.
