I am a graduate of Valparaiso University with degrees in music and theatre and I have been teaching piano, voice, and acting students for over 8 years. I am a graduate of Second City’s Music Improv Conservatory, and I have taught young people and adults of all ages across Chicago and Los Angeles with Chicago Children’s Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, MA School of Acting, and in Chicago Public Schools. With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist with three Division 1 tennis championships and a Southern California CIF semifinal appearance. I currently teach at Mulholland Hills Country Club and Mika's Tennis Academy and have previously worked as a Special Education instructor, Registered Behavior Therapist, Adaptive Skills Clinician, Mobility Trainer, and Physical Therapist Aide. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Biomechanics. My students have earned medals from the 2.5–4.5 levels and qualified for USA Pickleball Nationals. He led Harvard Westlake to an undefeated championship in his first coaching role and has managed an academy of nationally ranked tournament players. With NFHS and CPR certifications, he brings both expertise and safety to his coaching sessions. Mikele has worked alongside a former ATP world #10 and two-time Davis Cup player as the sole assistant coach for his tennis academy, honing advanced skills in drills, workouts, and adapting to various playing styles. Staying in competitive shape himself, Mikele combines professional-level insight with a passion for developing players at all levels.
