With over 15 years of experience playing drums and a strong passion for teaching, I am excited for the opportunity to share my knowledge and skills with aspiring drummers. Since starting my journey at the age of 14, I have performed original music and honed my craft in various bands, currently playing professionally with Castele and Long/Last, as well as participating in several studio projects. My diverse experience in both live performance and studio recording has equipped me with a well-rounded perspective on music and rhythm. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to learn from great teachers and some of my favorite musicians, including JP Bouvet, Joseph Arrington, Matt Garstka, Adam Tuminaro, Justin Scott, Mike Johnson, and many others. Their methods have greatly influenced my teaching philosophy, which emphasizes improvisational freedom and the expansion of rhythmic vocabulary. I believe that each student has unique needs and learning styles, and I strive to tailor my approach to ensure that everyone feels empowered and inspired to grow as musicians. I can teach all levels from beginners to advanced students. Covering topics such as learning the fundamentals, developing an effective practice routine, approaches to improvisation, exercises for creativity, learning songs, composition, recording techniques, and more! Lessons are offered in studio in Monument, and at home in Colorado Springs. I look forward to working with anyone interested in exploring creativity and building confidence in their drumming abilities.
"I have been a self taught drummer for years and hit a skill ceiling. With Tristin’s teaching, I’ve been able to elevate my skills in such a short time. He is very knowledgeable and proficient at what he does. He’s also always down to help out whenever you have questions. He creates great weekly routines to follow that really help hone in on your skills. If you’re looking to learn the drums and become great at it, I’d highly recommend Tristin to be the guy to help you out!

I’m Jonathan, a pop and jazz pianist with over a decade of performing and teaching experience, and I love helping students discover their own sound at the piano. My teaching style is a little different from the traditional route. I play by ear and I coach my students to do the same. I believe music should be fun, expressive, and personal, which means we focus on learning the songs you actually want to play. Whether it’s your favorite pop tune, an epic score from a movie, or just something you heard and loved, I’ll help you break it down, understand what’s going on, and bring it to life at the keys. I emphasize ear training, improvisation, and music theory in a practical, approachable way. I work with all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players looking to deepen their style or learn to improvise. If you want to learn to play the songs you love on piano I’d love to work with you!
