For nearly three decades, I've cultivated a passion for golf. Although soccer was my first sport as a child and in college, I realized as a young adult that golf was my true passion. I honed my golf skills with every chance I could and eventually began sharing my expertise with other aspiring players. My personal golf training background includes 2 years of George Gankas Golf Academy and putting lessons from Marcus Potter. In my twenties, I began competing in amateur tournaments, with a notable first place finish in a flighted stroke-play event. In my late 20's I transitioned to work as a turfgrass maintenance intern at Cherry Hills Country Club and assistant superintendent at Colorado Golf Club. This golf course maintenance experience has given me an in-depth knowledge of turfgrass, which helps me provide a specialization in greens reading and understanding of course conditions. I aim to blend technical proficiency with an engaging, enjoyable learning experience. My dedication ensures students not only improve their game but also develop a lifelong love for the sport.

With over three decades on the field, I bring a wealth of football expertise to every session. I’m dedicated to fostering growth, refining skills, and instilling a lifelong love for the game, with a fun approach. I still play semi pro football here in Colorado, and have played arena in Chicago for a brief period. I can definitely get you ready and show you how to get to the next level if that’s something your striving for. My experience will make a difference!

A former national junior champion, Carey represented his native country of New Zealand in international play before attending and earning a B.A. in Business Management from Colorado State University-Pueblo,where twice he was awarded All-American status and selected to represent the NAIA national team. Carey has earned many accolades, has several USTA/USPTA certifications, and has been as high as #308 in ATP rankings. Some of his other impressive stats include being inducted into the CSU Pueblo Hall of Fame for Men's Tennis, being a Two-Time All-American in singles at the University of Southern Colorado, being the 2006 USPTA Junior Development Coach of the Year, the 2005 Rocky Mountain News 5A Boy's HS Coach of the Year, the 2004, CHSAA 5A Coach of the Year, and the Colorado State Open Singles Champion. When not teaching tennis, you might find Carey on the dance floor doing the Cha-cha.

Transitioning into professional golf this year marks a significant milestone in my journey, fueled by a passion ignited during my baseball days and solidified when I shifted focus to golf in 2020. As part of Denver Golf Performance, I've had the privilege of coaching and playing alongside world-renowned Long Drive competitors and champions, honing my skills and expertise in the process. With a personal record drive of 425 yards this year, I'm committed to sharing my love for the sport and nurturing aspiring golfers to unlock their full potential. Building an enterprise dedicated to fostering full-time golfers is not just a dream but a mission I'm driven to fulfill, one swing at a time.

My passion for inclusivity also led me to delve into the world of wheelchair tennis, both as a player and a coach.
