Hi! My name is Mariah and I graduated from Colgate University with a degree in physics and minors in math and education. I have 8+ years of tutoring experience, including but not limited to various math and physics college courses. I want to be a high school physics teacher some day because I enjoy teaching and I find it fulfilling to help others learn!


I am a former collegiate athlete with a deep passion for coaching and inspiring the next generation through sports. Nina is a bilingual and bicultural Spanish teacher with decades of experience in language education, interpretation, and cross-cultural training. Having lived and worked in Mexico for 32 years, she teaches Spanish at all levels with a focus on practical communication, cultural understanding, and real-world conversation. Her experience includes working with the U.S. Embassy, medical and court interpretation, and Denver Public Schools.

I’ve been studying Mandarin language and culture since age four, and now take the most advanced classes in Mandarin UC Berkeley has to offer. Since I started learning, I’ve received a 5/5 in AP Chinese, a 7/7 in IB Mandarin (SL-B), and attended a the Global Young Leaders Program hosted by Peking University in China. I now help facilitate language acquisition as a Peer Coordinator at the UC Berkeley Language Exchange Program, where I lead the English and Mandarin as a second language pods.
