My name is David and I have been playing the game of golf for 41 years with 23 of those years as a professional. During those 23 years, I have gained experience throughout the golf industry including playing mini tours and competing in the PGA Tour Q-School. Beyond my playing experience, I also have years of teaching experience at great facilities such as the PGA Tour Academy at the World Golf Hall of Fame, and currently teach out of The Yards at TPC Sawgrass. In conjunction with teaching, I have dedicated many years to learning club fitting and building while working for several major club companies as an on-course demo technician. My background as a top-level golf instructor, includes having had the honor to work with multiple PGA Tour players including US Open Champion and Players Champion Webb Simpson, 4x PGA Tour Winner Russell Henley and 2022 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Cam Young. While I enjoy working 1 on 1 with the world's best, I get just as much joy working with amateur players of all abilities and ages. I tailor my instruction based on each individuals' strengths and weaknesses. I am able to do this due to my love of always learning more about the game. That love of learning golf has led me to acquire multiple certifications from golfs biggest names in instruction, including Titleist Performance Institute (Level 1, Golf 2 and Power 2), Aim Point Express Certified, K-Vest Certified, BodiTrak Ground Force Certified and Swing Catalyst Certified.

Throughout my playing career, I received multiple offers to compete at the collegiate level, but due to relocation, I was unable to pursue those opportunities. Despite that setback, my commitment to basketball never wavered, and I have since focused on developing my skills as a coach and mentor. Recently retired from basketball and looking to cultivate players' skills and strategic understanding of the game. I played 4 years of varsity golf at Wheaton North High School and then 4 years of college golf at Olivet Nazarene University. After graduating college with a B.S. in Sport Management, I decided to go after full time professional golf. I played professionally on the Midwest Golf Tour and on the SwingThought Tour from 2019-2022. In 2022, my wife and I welcomed our first child and I happily moved on from playing professionally and began my career in teaching. With me, you are getting an instructor with over 1,000 lesson hours of experience, and you are getting competitive knowledge from a player who has won tournaments at the high school, college, and mini-tour professional levels.
