My musical odyssey began at the tender age of 8 when the world of opera and choral music became my playground. Over the last 25+ years, I've evolved into a versatile vocal performer, gracing stages in jazz, opera, choral, and musical theater. Beyond the spotlight, I wear multiple hats at The Mount Vernon School, serving as a teacher, administrator, club sponsor, and executive. When not immersed in the administrative realm, I'm passionately leading workshops on wellness, coaching, storytelling, leadership, STEAM education, and arts curriculum design. My greatest joy lies in creating opportunities for students to discover that magical intersection where their passions, talents, and identities harmonize in the world of music. Join me on this musical journey, where every note carries a story of dedication, versatility, and the sheer love of the art.

Nicholas has been a cellist for 23 years and a dedicated teacher for 15. With extensive experience performing in both youth and professional symphonies, he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his teaching. His students have also had the opportunity to perform in prestigious orchestras, reflecting his commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a love for music.
"As an adult student, Nicholas is a fantastic instructor. He corrects technique rather than focusing on small mistakes (like a flubbed note). He's very easy to work with and challenges me each lesson so that I am never bored and never feel like I am wasting time working on perfecting a two note exercise because he pushes me to play further and further in the practice book. Absolutely the best experience for an adult student (any student, really).
