Guided by NYC-based drummer Bill Mead, Ethan honed his skills before venturing to Chicago for a Bachelor of Music degree at Columbia College. Immersed in the city's diverse music scene, he showcased his versatility by collaborating with various artists and bands, including Aisle Five, Kahil El’Zabar, Anessa Rivera, Kacie Brown, and Mara Luna. Francisco Garay is an Austrian-born Venezuelan-American cellist and dedicated educator currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Cello Performance at DePaul University in Chicago. He has over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to adults. As a performer, Francisco has played in a wide range of settings—from orchestras and chamber ensembles to solo recitals—bringing the same passion for music-making into his teaching. He is the founder of several youth cello ensembles, served as a teaching artist with the Houston Youth Symphony’s Coda & Melody programs, and is an original member of the Latin Cello Choir. His students consistently earn recognition at UIL state competitions. Francisco believes in creating a supportive, engaging learning environment where every student can discover their unique voice on the cello. His teaching emphasizes strong fundamentals, musical expression, and building confidence both on and off the stage.
