Full-time musician and dedicated music teacher in the vibrant city of Chicago, IL. Armed with a Bachelor's in Vocal Performance from Central Michigan University and a Master's Degree in Sacred Music from the University of Notre Dame, I've immersed myself in sound and melody. When I'm not teaching, you can find me contributing to the musical vibes at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church or leading the charge as the band leader and vocalist for THEM queers. I'm not just about performing; I'm also a vocal nerd, deeply fascinated by the intricacies of the human voice. One of my passions is hosting queer vocal workshops at the iconic Old Town School of Folk Music, where we explore the diverse capacities of the human vocal instrument. If you're ready to dive into the magical world of music or want to unleash your vocal prowess, let's connect!

With over 30 years of singing experience, including early participation in all-city youth choirs, I bring a wealth of musical knowledge and expertise to the studio. As a studio producer, I specialize in networking and coordinating projects, having secured sub licenses and master deals for projects spanning across various platforms, from PS4 to Xbox. My passion lies in creating rich soundscapes, from harmonies to low-end backgrounds, while also enjoying teaching singers the technical aspects of singing, including breathing techniques and note control. Hi Lovelies! My name is TJ or Ms.A, as my students call me. I am excited to have you reading this, so read on! First and foremost, I am a Christian, which means I have extensive knowledge in church music, however, my experience does not stop there. I am a self-taught and classically trained musician with 13+ years of experience as a pianist, 12+ years as a singer, 6+ years as vocalist, 5+ years of worship leading, and 6+ years of songwriting and arranging, and 3+ year of music production. My skill-set includes playing piano and guitar, singing, songwriting, and music production. When it comes to genres, I can teach you just about anything from classical music, to pop, to CCM, to hymns, to gospel, and back around again. And if I am not familiar with something and/or comfortable playing something for whatever reason, I will let you know. And I extend the same to you. If you would want to play only church music, as that is what I am basing my curriculum off of, great! If not, let's talk about those song choices. I will only teach you songs that will help build you up as a musician but also a good human being, so no provocative, cursing, unwholesome songs will be taught or encouraged to play. I have to honor God in everything I do, so if that is a problem, let me know. Positive and encouraging is my motto! That being said, I am very passionate about music making, and would not one anyone to be held back for any reason from pursuing their dreams. So whether you wanna take on a new hobby, or become a well-rounded professional musician, I invite you to learn with and alongside me as we explore and build upon one of God's most beautiful gifts bestowed to mankind: music.

"Michele is truly an amazing and intuitive teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable, talented and has a great sense of what a student needs. She works with your unique voice and builds it up and explains every single exercise and reasoning behind everything. She has helped me understand so many more things about myself not only as a singer but as a person. I've noticed a lot of changes already in the last few months and I am so thrilled I found her! She truly has a great talent for teaching and singing. Thank you so much Michele. You are a true blessing!
