I’m Charles Kodjo Alipoe Tchotchodji a professional tennis player from Lomé, Togo, representing my country in the Davis Cup. My journey began with elite training across Ivory Coast, South Africa, and France (TC Thann), and I’m now competing on the U.S. collegiate circuit. Currently, I play in the JUCO division, where I am ranked #9 in the nation with a 11.30 UTR. My career highlights include reaching an ITF Junior ranking of 534 and competing against top international talent on the World Tennis.

I am a local Baltimore tennis coach with over 15 years of playing experience and over 5 years of teaching experience! I am also a PTR Certified Tennis Professional. I have played in many ITF (International Tennis Federation) professional tournaments in different African countries and in Europe. Teaching and playing tennis is one of my biggest passions! I captained my college tennis team in Kansas before I transferred to Coppin State University which is a Division 1 school in Baltimore, Maryland. The past 3 summers I have worked at different summer camps where I taught countless tennis lessons to kids. I have also been working for the Baltimore Tennis Patron where I teach kids, teens and adults.

As a professional tennis player with an ITF ranking and a 9 UTR, I bring high-level competitive experience to every lesson. I was named Freshman of the Year at Benedict College and became a national champion in my home country. I’ve represented my country internationally and competed in France, Egypt, Kenya, Botswana, Nigeria, Ghana, and Togo. With years of experience working with players of different ages and skill levels, I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, improve their technique, and reach their goals on and off the court.

My teaching style is best described as a summer camp mentality. At summer camp, youth are excited to learn new things, build effective relationships with adults who care, and improve their confidence as they embrace new challenges. I strive to bring this mindset into the classroom so that every student can thrive in their academic life.

Meet Coach Tony, With 8+ years of experience, he specializes in practical self-defense and fitness for all ages. His background includes a Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt, a USA Judo Black Belt (under Lamonte Tyler), and a WTF Taekwondo Black Belt. He also trains in Muay Thai under Lamonte Tyler. With a diverse background, he offers a "complete" martial arts experience. As a coach, I have had several private lessons with beginner-intermediate players working on game strategy, drills, technical skills + when/how to implement them. I help troubleshoot + remedy any issues you are having during competitive play. My style is cordial and structured, tailored to fit your needs. I work with adults and kids of all ages, from beginner-intermediate. My focus (besides working on skills and strategy) is helping you LOVE the game through a deeper understanding.

Each session begins with purpose and ends with progress. I teach basketball with technical rigor and positive encouragement, drawing on several years of coaching experience to develop fundamentals, game intelligence, and lasting enthusiasm for the sport.
