Vasili Uspensky is a goalkeeper coach with experience across the collegiate, professional, and youth development levels. He coached for Harvard men's soccer (2015–2018) and Boston College (2018–2021). A former DI goalkeeper at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and CAA champion, Vasili turned professional with the Richmond Rowdies before coaching. He has worked personally with goalkeepers Matt Freese and Drake Callender, and has served as a World Cup pundit for NBC Boston and Telemundo.


Over the past 15 years, my focus has been on coaching functional fitness to improve balance, strength, and coordination for clients of various ages including those aged 55+ and older. I have practiced resistance training to develop muscular strength without the use of excessively heavy loads. Lenny has successfully addressed injuries through functional therapy, thus avoiding the need for drugs and surgery. He is also an active endurance athlete, with 29 years of competitive experience.
