Hi, My name is DeWayne Edwards . I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love lots of sports, including boxing football basketball and golf. I always say I would have been a boxer first... if I didn't see Roy Jones Jr. fight. Still love to watch. Football, my favorite team, is the 49ers. Basketball the Lakers. So, how did I find the greatest game ever played? That's simple it found me. While trying out for my high school football team, I got injured and discovered golf. That was 1997. The journey has given me unspeakable joy. Not to mention values like integrity, respect,patience, and resilience, just to name a few. Why teaching? Well put simply, to give back. Steve is a Sr. Pro Pickleball Player and Certified Instructor at the Plaza Hotel and Casino since April of 2019. Steve started playing in early 2014 and turned pro in 2 short years and winning the Gold in his very 1st Sr. Pro event. Steve has since gone on to win 7 Gold medals at the U.S. Open including Sr Pro in 2018. He continued on to win 7 National Championships and 13 World Titles (Huntsman Sr. Games).
