I've been coaching soccer for 30+ years, as a player, coach, and Director of Coaches for New Haven Youth Soccer (NHYS). I was recently honored as United Soccer Coaches 2025 National Youth Coach of the Year. I've coached youth, high school, premier, and collegiate club teams. My approach is to meet players where they are to build strong technical players with a strong soccer IQ by growing their confidence with the ball from simple to more complex activities.

I started in high school, played 2 years at Illinois Tech, and am currently competing at Farmingdale State College. I have coached various styles, from red ball beginner kids, to 7+ UTRs. I played 5 years of varsity tennis and won the New York State Championship 3 years in a row. I then graduated and played a year of D3 college tennis playing 1st singles and 1st doubles with a winning record. For two decades, I've cultivated a deep understanding of lacrosse, and I'm eager to share my insights. I grew up on Long Island so lacrosse has always been a part of my life. My playing career began when I was 6 years old, playing up with my older brother. I attended St. Anthony’s High School while playing for LI Express in the summer. For those years I was around some of the best coaches in the lacrosse world and gained invaluable information from them about lacrosse. After St. Anthony’s I attended St. John’s University as a member of the lacrosse team. I was lucky enough to play all four years there, playing attack, offensive midfield and defensive midfield. Upon graduation I decided to be a college assistant coach at Misericordia University where I was in charge of the defense, and helped lead our team to a conference title. Lacrosse will always be my passion, I enjoy all facets of the game and enjoy giving back to players with all the information I have gained of the game. I focus on helping athletes elevate their game through strategic development and personalized instruction. My goal is to instill confidence and a love for the sport.

Hi, I’m Jorge! I’ve been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I played for the youth academy of Once Caldas in Colombia and later played 4 years of varsity soccer in high school. I offer private and group training for players ages 8–18, focusing on dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control, positioning, and game awareness. I’m fluent in English and Spanish and available throughout Fairfield County. My goal is to help players improve their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game.
