As soon as possible, I embarked on surf safaris, exploring breaks from the Caribbean to California and Central America, Oregon to Oahu, and beyond. With over 45 years of experience, surfing has become more than a passion—it's a way of life. Now, as an instructor, I find immense joy in helping others catch their first wave, sharing in the exhilaration that becomes a lifelong memory. Hello, my name is Armaan Walia and I have been playing competitive tennis for 12+ years. I coach with the top tennis pros at country clubs which has helped me develop my coaching skills. I play collegiate tennis at St. Lawrence University and play two singles there ending my season with a 8-3 record. During my lessons I focus on developing the player and building habits that will last for a lifetime.

I teach tennis lessons to anyone and everyone. Never touched a racket? No problem! Do you want to go up a level, make the high school team, or be able to play with friends? Kids, high schoolers, adults, couples, and groups. I love tennis! USPTA level 2 Certified, Tennis Serve Specialist. Worked with Rick Macci (coach of 5 world #1 ones including Williams sisters and Andy Roddick), Jose Higuras (head of U.S. high performance program), Jeff Salzsentein (former top 100 player), Hans Podlipnik (Wimbledon QFist), and many others. Head high school coach for 11 years, active tournament player, patient teacher. Passionate about helping underserved kids throughout Seattle learn tennis and have organized and connected with many initiatives to do so. My goal is to help you achieve your goals whether that be improving technique or beginning to learn to play. To that extent, I am fairly flexible in my approach. For beginners, I focus on technique, proper grips, and generating topspin. To do this, I focus on hand feeding a lot of balls early on to develop proper technique and to train the muscle memory. Specifically, I teach a semi-western forehand, two-handed backhand, volley fundamentals, split stepping, proper footwork and serve mechanics. I also work with students who have one-handed backhands. I am a big believer in putting in a lot of time on the serve. For more experienced players, I will work with you to either identify areas for improvement or to work on areas you’ve identified you would like to improve.

With several years of Tennis experience by playing on my high school Varsity team for 4 years, I specialize in individualized skill development, match strategy, and footwork to help players progress confidently. I have loved Tennis ever since I was little and I wish to help bring that same joy to you on the court!

Guided by a love of tactical play and community, I bring precise instruction and patient coaching to every lesson. I have taught pickleball for over a year, helping players of all levels refine technique, strategy, and on-court confidence. I played tournaments and Durp rating games. Justin, originally from Commack, NY, earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in psychology from Hofstra University. He has 22 years of experience playing and coaching tennis and, in 2024, was named the USTA Eastern Tennis Professional of the Year. He joined the SPORTIME team in 2020, as a tennis coach, and was promoted to Director of Tennis in 2023.
