Hi, I'm John Kelly, a Charlotte native & lifelong player/coach who grew up playing baseball in neighborhoods & sandlots - building natural "play reps" that carried into organized baseball. When kids have fun, they learn & play better. My baseball background: 1984 NC State Championship w/ Independence HS, multiple city/state All-Star titles, & 3-peat MSBL 45+ Fall Classic Championship (2017-2019). I offer high-energy, game-like training for players ages 8-14 focused on movement, fun, & max reps.

After 10 years of being in love with volleyball I’m ready to ignite your passion! I started my passion for volleyball in the 6th grade and from then on I have played, taught, and loved volleyball ever since! I specialize in defensive actions and fundamentals. Throughout high school and college I have had the opportunity to continue playing recreationally and leading in various ways. Such as coaching in youth camps and teaching program lessons while in a summer camp setting. I have a passion for leading youth and teaching volleyball and I want to bring those skills to you.

My specialty is small-scale/one-on-one Elementary and Conversational Mandarin Chinese (although any level is acceptable). I find it important to work directly work directly with the strengths and weaknesses of the student--for example--certain students at lower levels of the Chinese language will require a special focus on aspects such as tones, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and should be worked with closely to improve these aspects of the language in order to build a strong foundation.

Michael Daniel is a Charlotte-based coach and former pro player (Nationals, Braves, Rockies) with a 13-year career. A 7th-round MLB draft pick out of UNC Chapel Hill, he served as Outfield & Baserunning Coordinator for the Chicago White Sox. He holds degrees from UNC and Georgetown and is NASM-PES certified. Michael delivers personalized, development-first instruction in hitting, baseball IQ, and mental performance for youth to advanced players chasing the next level.

Currently I’m Coaching as the Varsity/JV D-Line Coach at North Mecklenburg Hs. I am the JV defensive coordinator as well. I’m dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential. I’ve played for Team USA and in the Blue-Grey All American bowl while in high school. My college career began at Lenoir-Rhyne University and concluded at Coastal Carolina University. Baseball has shaped my life and I am passionate about helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. I am a 3 time state champion in baseball in high school. I have coached a state championship team. I have coached draft picks and tons of college athletes over the last 10 years. I have work in the USA Baseball organization for the last 7 years and have learned a lot of my teaching through great coaches and mentors. I want your best effort and attitude at all times and be sucessful.

I have 5 years of experience working with children and love helping them grow in reading and writing. I'm patient, supportive, and believe every child learns differently. My goal is to make learning enjoyable while building confidence and strong literacy skills.
