My professional career has been filled with joy because I love being a musician, I am fascinated by how many different ways children learn how to read music and play the piano and I love spending my day with my students creating music and beauty.

With 36 years of experience teaching piano, I thoroughly enjoy helping students learn and develop their skills. In my 30s, I served as a church pianist, enriching my musical journey. I hold a Master's degree in Piano Education from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. I am eager and ready to teach enthusiastic students who are passionate about learning piano.

With 26 years of teaching experience, Benton has instructed at numerous clubs and resorts across the country and is a full-time teaching pro at a local year-round club. He has coached juniors from beginners to junior tournament rankings. As well as Division 1 singles state qualifiers in the Dayton/Cincinnati areas. Holds a B.S. degree in education and enjoys teaching players of all ages and skill levels. Discovering the guitar later in life ignited a passion for music that has only grown stronger with time. From taking my first guitar lesson at the age of 44 to co-founding a Bluegrass/Americana band and writing original music, my musical journey has been one of continuous growth and exploration. Since 2018, I've had the privilege of serving as a volunteer instructor for the Cincinnati, Ohio Chapter of Guitars 4 Vets, where I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of music. Alongside my own musical pursuits, I've expanded my skills by delving into the bass guitar and music theory. As a dedicated instructor, I find immense joy in helping adults of all ages unlock their musical potential and cultivate a lifelong love for playing the guitar, one song at a time.
