His experience includes academy leadership, ODP coaching, coach education, and international tournaments. His philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, tactical intelligence.
"We were referred to Carlos through a mutual friend, and we are so grateful we found him. He began working with Reese just as she was finishing a six-month recovery from a Grade 3 ankle sprain. Coming back to soccer, she had lost a lot of confidence and needed to rebuild not only her strength, but also her touch and confidence on the ball. Carlos has been incredible in helping her get back to where she is today. He knows how to push her while still being encouraging and supportive. He doesn’t just run her through drills—he tailors each session to her position and gives her detailed, specific instruction on how to improve each play. He notices the little things and takes the time to explain what she can do differently to become a better player. Most importantly, Carlos has helped Reese believe in herself again. He constantly encourages her, builds her up, and challenges her to be better. In the six months she has trained with him, we have seen huge improvements in both her skills and her confidence. We are so excited to share that Reese was recently recruited to play college soccer, and Carlos has absolutely played a part in helping her get there. We couldn’t recommend him more highly to any player looking for a trainer who genuinely cares about their development and wants to see them succeed!

I have just recently retired from teaching Middle School and High School Math for 35+ year. I will miss teaching and would like to continue by tutoring math. My teaching career is varied. I taught in Idaho and Oregon for 20+ years before choosing to teach overseas. I taught in Egypt, Malaysia, Myanmar, Ecuador and Guatemala; teaching at international schools. During that time, I also worked on curriculum committees, chaperoned week long trips and worked on my PhD in Math education.

About Me - I’m Danielle, a pickleball coach based in Oregon City. Pickleball, for me, is about the joy of moving, learning, and having fun together. I teach locally outdoors and in Troutdale for indoor lessons. Approach - I’ve spent six years creating a supportive, low-pressure learning space where players can grow at their own pace. Who I Coach - I work primarily with women of all ages and body types and athletic ability who want to learn with a growth mindset and kindness toward themselves. How Lessons Work - Each session is tailored to you. We choose one technical and one tactical skill to focus on, start with some rallying, and build from there. My Why - If you’re ready to learn, laugh, and grow, I’d love to help you take your next step on the court.
"I am blind in one eye but still really wanted to learn this game. With no depth perception, Danielle was able to help me learn the drills and skills to develop strong compensations in reading and responding to the ball. Her approach has helped me in leaps and bounds.
