I mainly work with high school age athletes, but have some college players, as well as youth athletes.

I have 16 years experience as a college chemistry professor, with a MS from the University of Notre Dame. I have taught General Chemistry I and II, as well as organic chemistry lab and forensic science on a regular basis. I have also worked as a private tutor for 20 years to students ranging from middle school through college to students of all ability levels. I love tutoring because it allows me to really connect with an individual student while helping them achieve subject mastery.

"I’ve worked with Alicia Reed and what sets her apart isn’t just that she’s a great player, it’s that she’s an exceptional teacher. Coaching is a completely different skill set than playing, and Alicia truly excels at it. She doesn’t just feed balls and say “good shot.” She actually sees what you’re doing, explains why it isn’t working, and shows you how to fix it. She pays attention to paddle position, footwork, timing, and mechanics, and she makes corrections in real time. She doesn’t stop for long speeches or overcomplicate things. She shows you what to do, has you do it immediately, and keeps you engaged the entire lesson. What I appreciate most is that if something isn’t clicking, she finds another way to teach it. She has a gift for breaking things down in a way that makes sense and helping you feel the difference right away. In a short amount of time, Alicia helped me go from a 2.8 to a 3.5 player.
