As an avid sports fan, player and coach (baseball, basketball and, most recently, pickleball), I have developed a passion for playing, competing in tournaments, and coaching pickleball to students of all ages and skill levels. I've been hooked on the thrill of pickleball for the past year and a half. With a background in tennis from my high school days, I've seamlessly transitioned my love for racquet sports to the pickleball court. Having played in tournaments and regularly honing my skills at multiple locations, I recently dipped my toes into teaching as a guest instructor at the Phoenixville Rec Center. The experience left me eager to share my knowledge and passion with more players. I have 16 years experience as a college chemistry professor, with a MS from the University of Notre Dame. I have taught General Chemistry I and II, as well as organic chemistry lab and forensic science on a regular basis. I have also worked as a private tutor for 20 years to students ranging from middle school through college to students of all ability levels. I love tutoring because it allows me to really connect with an individual student while helping them achieve subject mastery.

Over the course of 17 years, Gary Cimperman, Owner of Cimperman Tennis Academy, has accumulated numerous awards and distinctions that is sure to bring a standard of excellence to any court in the Mount Laurel, NJ area. Currently, Gary works with beginner and intermediate players in South Jersey and the Philadelphia areas. Additionally, he works with US Sports Camps and Atlas Tennis, leading junior tennis camps on the West Coast and in Europe, respectively.

Every session I combine technical rigor with a warm, encouraging approach to help athletes develop skill and confidence. I have taught baseball for several years, specializing in hitting mechanics, defensive fundamentals, and game-sense development to help players reach their potential.

I am a former D1 College Tennis player and have been playing pickleball at a high level for several years. I am an RPO and Picklr certified coach. I’ve been teaching at The Picklr since 2025 where I give private lessons and group clinics. I combine technical knowledge, tactical insight, and patient instruction to elevate skills and enjoyment for players at all levels.
