I am a History educator with over 28 years of teaching experience at both the secondary and college levels. I hold a Ph.D in History of the Americas and currently teach U.S. History at Dallas College and other higher education institutions.

I played volleyball for 15 years through high school at the Hockaday School and college at Williams College. Over the years I was an opposite, outside, and middle, but I have given lessons to all position groups. In just over two years, my journey in pickleball has been nothing short of exhilarating. Starting out as a pickleball instructor at CNP, I quickly transitioned to private coaching, guiding players of all levels from complete beginners to advanced 4.5 and even a few 5.0 athletes. Competing in numerous tournaments, I've recently achieved success with a 5.5 DUPR rating and medaling in 5.0 events and advancing through teams in pro qualifiers, setting my sights on reaching the main draw soon.
