I began my boxing career at just 8 years old in Jackson, Tennessee, competing as a Golden Gloves boxer until the age of 18. During my amateur career, I showcased my skill and adaptability by winning championship belts in three different weight classes: lightweight, middleweight, and light heavyweight. My success in the amateurs led me to the professional ranks, where I competed in six pro bouts before a motorcycle injury cut his fighting career short. "Coach taught me how to really show up for my team. He gave me a lot of tips, moves to work on, and we even broke down scouting reports together on the bigs I had to guard. He always kept the main goal the main goal. Off the court, he helped me grow as a person and taught me how to stay composed. Coach was like one of my homies — we could talk about anything, good or bad. He was always there for me.
