My name is Coach Leslie aka Coach L. I am an experienced basketball coach, trainer, and former player. who loves the game dearly.  I have played for over 30 years since the age of 5. I am a USA Gold licensed coach who trains players from age 2 to 18. I also have the ability to train college students as well. I currenty coach a club basketball team and a high school team. Therefore I am well versed in both individual skills and team aspects. I am a very detail oriented trainer that focuses on the fundamentals and mental toughness. My goal is to enhance the athlete with all of the basic skills through hard work and repetition so that they can translate their attributes onto the court within a team setting. "The lesson with Kaitlyn was quite good, especially appreciated how she focused on specific techniques that helped my shooting accuracy. I am 6'5" and specialize in helping kids with size learn how to move their feet as well as how to take advantage of their size, both popping the tre and putting it on the floor and finishing over smaller players. On the flip side, I have also mastered how to teach ballers lacking in size to find space and see the court to open up the midrange game and the tre, or just dribble hesi and finish through the big with contact. If you want to learn how to ball with the toughness of the old days mixed with the new beautiful game of logo shooters, then let's get you there. Grit, tenacity, dropping that 3 ball, grabbing boards, running transition.....all really important skills that I can help you with! I played bball and football in HS and in the Marine Corps.....as well as in leuges and on A courts in Newport on 32nd street, Milesquare, Venice, the Arc at UCI, etc. I attended UCI on a full ride academic scholarship and was approached by the head coach as he wanted me on the squad to help his 7 footer develop. I declined but still played with them often. If I want it more than I do, there is a problem....how bad do you want it? I can only show you the path. You have to walk it!

Basketball has been my passion for 25+ years, and sharing that love with aspiring and developing players is incredibly rewarding. I graduated from West Virginia State University, I was an All American player and was drafted into the NBA by the New York Knicks but traded to the Detroit “Bad Boys” Pistons have the opportunity to win a championship. I was then traded to the Phoenix Suns. After a 3 year stint in the NBA I then took my talents throughout various countries in Europe Israel, Greece, France and South America Argentina. After a successful professional career I coach on the collegiate level, semi-pro and high school levels. Now now utilize these experiences developing young athletes/players who have the desire to play High School, College and even professional basketball.
