About Dre

At the age of 9, I discovered basketball and became obsessed with it. β€œBasketball is life” was my motto growing upβ€”from finishing team practices at the gym, then going straight to a local basketball court for pickup games. I considered basketball courts my second home, and in many ways, they still are. My playing journey took me through several years in AAU and Showcase leagues, starting with the Bay Area Asian Sports Dragons as a youth and onto other travel teams. I competed in basketball tournaments held in Reno and all over California year-round. As a four-year varsity player, I continued to earn MIP and MVP awards in high school, and was honored to make the PAL NorCal All-League First and Second Teams during my later years. I was also recognized the Student Athlete of the Year as a triathlete playing volleyball and running track in addition to basketball for all of those years. These experiences have taught me a lot about overcoming adversities, teamwork, and leadership. More importantly, I learned that the relationships you create with your team and community are the lifelong awards from sports. I am an advocate for fostering community and connections through sports, and I truly believe that sports bring out the best in people. Having walked the path from beginner to competitive player, I want to be a guiding light for those just starting out or looking to elevate their development. My goal is to help players grow their skills while encouraging them to become better people throughout their journey. For over two decades, I’ve cultivated a deep love and understanding of basketball. I focus on skill development and strategic thinking, fostering both confident players and a genuine love for the game. I’m here to share that same passion with anyone who aspires to get better and compete to their fullest potential.

What students say...

"Drea is a patient and knowledgeable coach who makes the game fun. We look forward to working with her again!

Shooting and scoring

Build a repeatable jump shot, extend your range, and clean up your free throws. South San Francisco coaches break down your form frame by frame and drill it at game speed.

Tighten your handle, change of pace, and combo moves so you can create space off the dribble. Basketball trainers in South San Francisco run guard-skill work built around live, full-speed reps.

Footwork, defense, and rebounding

Lock in your defensive stance, lateral slides, and closeouts, then box out and finish the possession. A coach in South San Francisco teaches you to guard your position and own the glass.

Finishing and athleticism

Add layups through contact, both-hand finishes, and a quicker first step. South San Francisco basketball coaches focus your training on scoring at the rim and playing above it.

Game IQ and decision-making

Learn to read the floor, run pick-and-roll, and make the right pass every trip down. Coaches in South San Francisco sharpen the mental side of basketball alongside the physical.

Parents welcome at every basketball lesson
