While there, he took on a leadership role as the Head Coach for the University’s men’s team. While attending school Timothy worked for the K’oalau Golf Course as an Assistant Professional. He gained experience in course management and all things operations; K’oalau is also where he began his teaching career. Timothy turned professional after graduating college in 2009 and has competed on tours all over the world. In 2015 Timothy shifted his focus to player development and private coaching. I started learning the sport at the age of 40, and my athletic ability is quite average. While learning from different coaches, I noticed a problem: they are too professional and don't understand that our bodies, especially as we get older, simply can't turn as much as they require. Therefore, during my practice sessions, I rely on my own exploration to improve my performance. Many of the issues I encounter are common among amateur players, issues that professional coaches who have been playing since childhood have never faced. So, if you are a beginner, if you are someone who is getting on in years, or if you have average athletic ability, I might be able to teach you better than a professional coach could.
