I started learning the sport at the age of 40, and my athletic ability is quite average. While learning from different coaches, I noticed a problem: they are too professional and don't understand that our bodies, especially as we get older, simply can't turn as much as they require. Therefore, during my practice sessions, I rely on my own exploration to improve my performance. Many of the issues I encounter are common among amateur players, issues that professional coaches who have been playing since childhood have never faced. I was certified in 2017, through the USGTF. I have 20 years of experience in golf learning, training and playing. I coached a USGLL golf team to a second-place finish; I have volunteered for the First Tee program in Orange County; I was actively involved in the Los Alamitos High School Girls Golf Booster Club from 2012-2016; I managed several golf fundraisers for the Los Alamitos High School Girls Golf team and before being certified I taught several individuals, including my wife, to play this great game. From being mentored, playing, reading books, speaking with other instructors and watching some of the “Greats” play, I continue leaning and understanding more and more each day about this game.
