I'm a seasoned music producer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist with over 15 years of experience in the music industry. A proud graduate of New York University's Music Technology program, I've dedicated my career to creating music for clients and sharing my expertise through teaching. My journey includes founding the music program at NYU's Shanghai campus, where I initiated choral groups instrumental ensembles, and provided private lessons to budding guitar and piano players. As a music educator, I've worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to professionals. Let's groove! I have been performing as a bassist for over 18 years, and teaching for over ten years. As an instructor, I meet students where they are and tailor my teaching approach accordingly. Lessons are collaborative; I want to get to know each student and your individual goals and learning style in order to create an open and comfortable learning environment. My extensive musical background allows you to choose music YOU like to play, and through each song we will work on specific technical, harmonic, and rhythmic concepts. I use my experience as an active working musician to inform the lessons and ground everything you learn in real-world application. About me: I tour the US and internationally with Future Teens, an indie rock band with over three LPs on our resume. Future Teens has been featured on NPR, The Boston Globe, and WBUR, and was Boston Music Awards’ 2019 Alt/Indie Artist of the Year. I studied bass performance at Berklee College of Music, where I earned the Bass Department Outstanding Performer Award and Scholarship. I have a BA in English and French from Skidmore College (‘13). I have worked with students between the ages of six and sixty and welcome students of all ages.

I will help you unlock your musical intution/creativity and give you creative ways to practice and learn songs , solos etc . I will also teach you ways to track your progress. I believe playing and learning music should be fun, and I make it easier on you to understand certain concepts from a technical, theoretical and practical point of view. I can tailor lessons to your needs , the style you want to play, and I can create assignments to help you reach your goals from a professional working musician's perspective. You will find just after a short period how much you can improve your skills and feel the confidence to continue to your goal. My teaching experiences have taken me through schools , clinics at music stores and workshops. I also coach bands , teach beginner to intermediate bass , and music production one on one or group. A little about my work as a musician : Over the years, I toured, recorded and played with numerous bands and artists such as, Carly Simon, Ben Taylor, Mike Keneally, Bryan Beller, Armande Sabel-Leco, Paul Barrere, Kenny Gradney and Bill Payne, Pato Banton, Brendon Small's Galaktikon, Bird York, Janet Robin, Gwen Stefani, Eve, The Roots and more ! I also have theatrical show experience with numerous plays and with Cirque Du Soliel's 'Totem' , ' Corteo' and 'Zarkana'. All these experiences have contributed to the variety of styles in my arsenal that I play and teach.
