After playing for over 10 years, I've had many opportunities to coach youth all the way through high school. I've worked each summer as a coach for my local club, working alongside great coaching staff my whole life to coach the younger players. In high school, I ran my own clinics two years in a row for both men and women that led to the beginning of the Del Oro Lacrosse Team in Loomis, CA. As a defender, my coaching specialties include footwork, body positioning, stick skills, field vision, and defending from both the wings and from X. Our first session will focus early on understanding exactly which fundamental areas you need to focus on, then giving precise guidance in those areas. I focus on building a strong foundation, where players can perfect the basics so they can stack more advanced topics as they progress.

He explained what my daughter is good at, what she needs to work on, and how she can improve in a clear concise manner. For every skill, he taught her “why” a certain move in a specific form is important in a game, which I think only an experienced coach like Coach Allen can do. We live far from San Ramon, but we feel it’s worth travelling there to receive a high quality lesson from Coach Allen.

Unleashing potential on the lacrosse field is my passion. I’m 21 years old with 16 years of experience playing lacrosse, including four years of collegiate play at McGill University and a season of Junior B Box Lacrosse. I primarily played Defense and LSM (Long Stick Midfielder) and am comfortable coaching all positions. Before starting any sessions, I like to meet with player and their family to get a sense of their current skill level and specific goals. This helps me tailor each session to focus on what matters most—whether that’s stick skills, positioning, game IQ, footwork, or any other area of the game.
