She doesn’t just feed balls and say “good shot.” She actually sees what you’re doing, explains why it isn’t working, and shows you how to fix it. She pays attention to paddle position, footwork, timing, and mechanics, and she makes corrections in real time. She doesn’t stop for long speeches or overcomplicate things. She shows you what to do, has you do it immediately, and keeps you engaged the entire lesson. What I appreciate most is that if something isn’t clicking, she finds another way to teach it. She has a gift for breaking things down in a way that makes sense and helping you feel the difference right away. In a short amount of time, Alicia helped me go from a 2.8 to a 3.5 player. Her years of coaching experience really show. Being a great player and being a great coach are two different things, and Alicia is an excellent coach. Just a fellow pickleball addict that fell in love with the fastest growing sport! With my ping pong background I've grasped the sport and picked it up quickly bringing me to a 4.0 level in less than a year. Playing in cross club 4.0 league to continue learning and improving my skills has propelled me to my next chapter of joining a 4.5 division team this coming season just shy of 2 years into this sport. I'm a student of the game but have been helping many people along the way and the world would just be better with more people playing this game! "I’ve been taking lessons with Justin for about a year now, and I can’t recommend him enough. I came into pickleball with absolutely no sports background, and thanks to his coaching, I’ve worked my way up to playing at a 4.0 level. One of the things I appreciate most is how good Justin is at spotting the little technical details that make a huge difference. For example, something like hitting the ball as it’s coming down from the apex or making a small adjustment to my footwork or paddle position, he’s able to catch things I would never notice on my own.
