With a rich background as a competitive swimmer and American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor training, I intimately know the technical progressions of all strokes (competitive and survival,) starting dives and turns. I am skilled at creating and implementing structured and engaging lesson plans by incorporating learning tools and games to create fun and effective learning sessions that appropriately suit all age groups, abilities, and goals. I find swimming instruction to be one of the most personally enriching activities I can do because I’m teaching lifesaving skills to all who I encounter.
