Hi, My name is Kate. With over 25 years of experience, I have traveled and competed in professional tournaments all over the world. Throughout my career, I achieved a USTA National Ranking of #6, reached quarterfinal of the KPSF Open, earned an ITF ranking of 170, and a WTA ranking of 490. A full scholarship to the NCAA Division 1 university allowed me to continue my competitive career, where I achieved an ITA singles ranking of #18 in the nation and was honored as an Athlete of the Year.

I’m the founder of SBA Tennis & Pickleball, a Bay Area academy focused on delivering high-quality, structured, and fun tennis and pickleball instruction for players of all ages and levels. My background as a licensed physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy allows me to bring a unique, results-driven approach to coaching. I specialize in stroke biomechanics, movement efficiency, and injury prevention, helping players improve faster while staying healthy. With over a decade of coaching experience and a 5.0 NTRP playing level, I’ve worked with players ranging from young beginners to advanced competitors. Hi, My name is Brian Ma I have been playing Tennis for over 14 years now and I've always had a strong passion towards this sport. I played singles #1 & #2 all throughout high school and I have over 9 years of teaching experience working with all ages of all skill levels. My main goal as a coach is to build an environment where my students can feel comfortable and be able to openly express themselves as an athlete.

Ranked # 4 in the Russia in age 16. Won Junior National Doubles Championship title, with my partner Max Mirnyi. Played ITF tournaments throughout Europe. Growing up had chance to learn from elite world class coaches Sergei Likhachev, Alexander Zverev Sr. ( Sasha’s father) College: Had a full scholarship at Western Kentucky University, Division 1. Played #1 position singles and doubles. Awarded All-Conference Player of the year, Sun Belt Conference. Transferred to BYU- Hawaii, Division II.  I led the team to win the NCAA-II championship title. First time in school history BYU-Hawaii became #1 in the country. Trained and helped/hitting partner of Marat Safin and Anna Kournikova. Worked with Lulu Sun, helped her with strategic training and skills. WTA career high, 39 in the world.
