What students say...

"The lesson went well, really, focusing on one section at a time meant Emily wasn't overwhelmed, which was quite helpful for her first time back on the court. Though I hope her forehand starts resembling her previous shape soon, I appreciated how the approach was measured and clear. Still, I think with a bit more attention there, her technique could really improve. Ryan's way of breaking things down makes a difference, if you're thinking about trying him out, I’d say he's worth considering to see how steady guidance can support your game.

"Darian is patient, helpful, and kind even when I feel uncoordinated and clumsy. He’s strengthened my technique with precision. He’s quite particular about the technique, but it works. 1. Comfortable, non-marking tennis shoes for proper court traction and support. 2. Athletic clothing you can move freely in. 3. A water bottle to stay hydrated through the session. 4. To prepare for your tennis lesson, ensure you are well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day and eat a light meal or snack about an hour before. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and proper tennis shoes, and check that your racket is in good condition. Pack essentials such as a water bottle, towel, and any personal items like a hat or sunscreen. Do some light stretching or a brisk walk to start warming up your muscles before arriving at the court. Something else I like to suggest is to mentally review any notes from previous lessons and set specific goals for the session to maximize your training.

Coach Jay-Ar

tennis coach

Absolutely. I love introducing young players to the game the right way — building real fundamentals early, keeping lessons fun and confidence-building, and instilling habits that make tennis a lifelong sport rather than a phase.

The lessons with kids depends on their age group. A lesson with a child 5-8 will likely be fun 😃 and focused on developing general athletic activities: hand-eye coordination 👋🏽balance ⚖️, and movement 🏎️In later stages 8-12 we will focus on some general development with a focus on playing games similar to an actual tennis play or match♟️.These lessons can vary based on the focus, intensity, and discipline of the child.
