Hello! My name is Steven and I’m a former Division I tennis player. A little bit about me: I began my college tennis career at Eastern Washington University, a Division I school in the Big Sky Conference. I played #1 singles and competed against top programs such as the University of Washington, University of Utah, Gonzaga University, and the University of Oregon. After my sophomore year, I transferred to Indiana University Indianapolis, where I played primarily #2 singles and #2 doubles. During my time there, I earned multiple conference honors, including being named Horizon League Player of the Week twice and Doubles Team of the Week once. I also served as team captain during my senior year. I've been around the sport of tennis my entire life, and having the opportunity to coach is truly a privilege. Whether you're just starting out or have been playing for years, I'm ready to help take your game to the next level!

I like to share my passion for tennis with students of all levels. My experience as an experienced player helps me tailor instruction for optimal growth and enjoyment on the court. I have over 15 years of playing experience and 3 years of coaching, working with both junior and adult players of different skill levels. My approach focuses on building strong fundamentals, proper technique, footwork, and match awareness in a structured and supportive environment. For kids, sessions emphasize coordination, discipline, and confidence while keeping training engaging and age appropriate. For adults, lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether learning the basics, improving consistency, or developing competitive skills. I offer both private and group lessons and adapt each session to the player’s level, pace, and objectives, with the goal of helping every student improve while enjoying the game. I played Division I tennis for five years at Texas Christian University and the University of San Francisco. Now, I'm based in San Diego and love coaching players of all ages and skill levels. With my background in kinesiology, I'm really passionate about promoting both physical and mental health—whether you're just starting out or already experienced. Tennis has brought me so much joy, and I hope to share that with you and help you find the same love for the sport! Both hitting and coaching are welcome!!

Brian attended the University of Rhode Island and played two years of division 1 tennis singles and doubles - making all rookie his freshman year. He works with adults and children and is available for lessons and clinics.

Norm comes to Cliff Drysdale Tennis after most recently serving as the Assistant Program Coordinator at New Rochelle Racquet Club in New York and Tennis Director at the Christmas Cove Improvement Association in South Bristol, ME. Hailing from Boston, MA, Norm brings experience in working with a wide range of students, spanning from 10-and-under to adults, as well as high-performance players. After earning a Master’s degree in Sports Management, Norm knew coaching was his passion, and he built his coaching philosophy around developing strong habits and building confidence for his students. His career began with coaching high school teams, running local summer tennis programming, and serving as the Assistant Coach for the Men's and Women's Tennis teams at Williams College and he’s thrilled to now be in California as a member of the Cliff Drysdale Tennis Team.

I'm a passionate tennis player and coach with a diverse background in the sport. My playing career includes four years on my high school varsity team and a year playing doubles for the SDSU tennis team. My coaching experience spans six years as a resort tennis instructor, and for the past three years, I've been teaching in an after-school tennis program that also includes adult students. I enjoy working with players of all ages and skill levels, sharing my love for the game and helping them improve their technique and strategy on the court.
