I teach a semi-western forehand, two-handed backhand, volley fundamentals, split stepping, proper footwork and serve mechanics. I also work with students who have one-handed backhands. I'll share my insider tips on strategy and court positioning. Guiding you through the fundamentals, starting with an overview of the rules and proper techniques. My coaching style is tailored to each student's skill level. I will work with you to either identify areas for improvement or to work on areas you’ve identified you would like to improve. With over a decade of experience in tennis, including two years of coaching and teaching, Tha has demonstrated a deep commitment to the sport. They excelled in both college club tennis and high school varsity tennis, where they served as captains for two years. Their dedication and skill on the court were evident through four consecutive years of making playoffs in high school varsity tennis, culminating in a remarkable year as league champions.
Over thirty years of coaching experience and directing programs throughout the United States. 3 time California Community College coach of the year. 1 time national coach of the year. 3 state championships. He has coached sectionally and nationally ranked juniors, a 3.5 USTA national champion’s women’s team, as well as two professional women’s tour players ranked in the top 200. In just a few years as Head Coach for the American River Women's Tennis team he has coached them to their first State Championship. While at Sierra College he turned the women’s team into one of the top programs in the State. The Wolverines were seven time Nor Cal Champs and State Champions in 2007. The 2014 team claimed the coveted Ojai tournament championship. He was voted California State Coach of the year in 2006 and 2010 and maintains a USPTA Elite Professional certification.
