Tennis is more than just a sport to me; it's a passion that I love sharing with others. For years, I've been dedicated to helping students of all ages and skill levels find joy and success on the court, building their skills and confidence with each session. I am currently a head varsity coach for both boys and girls at my local high school.

As an accomplished, lifelong tennis player and competitor, I have coached the game since 1988. I am a former USPTA professional with an advanced degree in Psychology, focusing on sports competition. Additionally, I have spent over ten years in secondary and post-secondary academic education. This unique combination of training and experience has given me great insight into how humans learn and develop new skills at various stages of life. My innovative training methodology is designed to prevent the formation of bad habits and improper muscle memory during the crucial stroke acquisition phase. Recovering from a life-altering car crash and a host of sports injuries has given me a new perspective on life and coaching. Every day is an opportunity to introduce the wonder of this game to everyone I meet and help those already engaged to be the best they can be. I look forward to seeing you on the court soon!
"Michael has a mastery of both the physical and mental aspects of the sport, and offered a great mix of constructive criticism and encouragement to both effectively get the teaching points across and keep me motivated. After taking the time to understand my specific goals, he worked with me to develop personalized instructions that were tremendously helpful. He offered practical advice on how I could improve each specific shot β the serve, the groundstrokes, the volley, etc. and gave me clear directions on how I can practice on my own time beyond the lessons to incorporate those improvements. Michaelβs technical skills and work ethic make him a great tennis instructor, and his ability to inspire the same passion he has for tennis in others makes him a great ambassador for the sport.
