Hello! My name is Steven and I’m a former Division I tennis player. A little bit about me: I began my college tennis career at Eastern Washington University, a Division I school in the Big Sky Conference. I played #1 singles and competed against top programs such as the University of Washington, University of Utah, Gonzaga University, and the University of Oregon. After my sophomore year, I transferred to Indiana University Indianapolis, where I played primarily #2 singles and #2 doubles. During my time there, I earned multiple conference honors, including being named Horizon League Player of the Week twice and Doubles Team of the Week once. I also served as team captain during my senior year. I've been around the sport of tennis my entire life, and having the opportunity to coach is truly a privilege. Whether you're just starting out or have been playing for years, I'm ready to help take your game to the next level!

I have over 15 years of playing experience and 3 years of coaching, working with both junior and adult players of different skill levels. My approach focuses on building strong fundamentals, proper technique, footwork, and match awareness in a structured and supportive environment. For kids, sessions emphasize coordination, discipline, and confidence while keeping training engaging and age appropriate. For adults, lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether learning the basics, improving consistency, or developing competitive skills. I offer both private and group lessons and adapt each session to the player’s level, pace, and objectives, with the goal of helping every student improve while enjoying the game. Recovering from a life-altering car crash and a host of sports injuries has given me a new perspective on life and coaching.
