I have been a Basketball Coach for over 25 years from the high school to college level. I spent 17 years (2005-2022) as the Head Men's Coach at De Anza College in Northern California. Prior to that I was the Head Assistant Coach at Notre Dame de Namur University (2002-2004) in Belmont, California. I began my coaching career at W.C. Overfelt High School in San Jose (1999-2002). I have coached hundreds of student-athletes from diverse backgrounds. I am experienced and committed.

Daniel is currently continuing his academic and athletic journey as a college basketball player at De Anza College, where he contributes both on the court and as a role model for his teammates. He has also mentored young athletes as a Camp Coach at Empower Me Academy under Jerome Gumbs, and as a Camp Counselor at Wasatch Academy, where he developed his leadership and communication abilities in a structured residential setting. Beyond basketball, Daniel has held multiple leadership roles, including Student Council President and board member of the African American Consulate during his time at Wasatch Academy. He has consistently maintained strong academic performance and believes in developing well-rounded athletes through discipline, focus, and mentorship.
