I’ve been golfing for over 30 years and as I grew older I’ve learned to maximize what I have. I’m 5’6” and though I consider myself an athlete, I do believe a good swing can be achieved by good fundamentals and what I call positioning. By ingraining certain aspects of a swing, we can continue to improve by doing. I’m just a low-handicap golfer who want to teach average golfers good fundamentals as a takeaway, so you can start to improve on your own. I’m not a teaching professional, but I was a design instructor at an art school for over 17 years, I hope I can make improving your golf game fun.

Starting with Basics of Setup, posture, grip, swing plane and etiquette we can learn smarter practice that transfers effortlessly to the course.Short game is key. Fueled by a lifelong dedication to golf, I bring 30 years of experience to helping players elevate their game. I've coached children from the ages of 4-18. I coached a Nike Golf Camp for a number of years at Tilden Park Golf Course where I focused on younger golfers. I've been the head coach at a number of successful high schools throughout the area. I have also taught adults, family, and friends. I offer a unique perspective and my first and most important rule is that we're having fun. If we're not having fun we are in the wrong sport. But with patience and a lot of practice I can promise that your golf game will improve and after hitting a few solid shots you'll become addicted to the game. I'll tailor my lessons to each individual and take the time to ensure that progress is made. My passion lies in fostering a fun and supportive environment where golfers of all levels can thrive. "Sean is a very skilled coach with deep experience, and it was helpful spending a lesson with someone who has such a strong feel for the game. I’m very new to golf, and he gave me several useful drills and visual metaphors that made certain concepts click for me, especially his “paintbrush” cue for brushing the grass. You can tell a lot of this teaching comes from years of playing and collecting ways to explain the swing which made the lesson interesting and gave me a lot to practice afterwards.

Golfing and student of the game for 50 years now. .My philosophy is keep the swing simple and effective. Swing changes are hard so let’s work with what you have unless you are committed to making wholesale swing changes. Fundamentals are key: grip, alignment, posture and swing plane. No crazy gimmicky exaggerated moves: club on plane w a square face, and aligned to target. Let’s get you proficient and confident so you can get out play and enjoy the game.

"Worked on grip and stance with each club and got a good understanding WHY the stance was important (and different) for each club. I did not want 20 or 30 new things to try. I could not remember that many. I can easily focus on two tips for each club and make improvements based on those tips.

As an avid golfer and golf instructor, I have had the privilege of teaching and playing the game for over 10 years. I have competed in tournaments throughout the United States and have had the honor of helping my students reach their goals and better their game. My teaching style focuses on fundamentals, such as grip, stance, and swing, to help students understand the mechanics of the game. I am passionate about golf and use Professional Training aids and devices such as TrackMan 4 to help others succeed in the sport.
