About Eric

Golf is all about β€œmuscle memory.” For my first 10 years of golfing, I relied on my own swing. While I enjoyed the game, my improvement was limited. Then I met an instructor who spent six months helping me rebuild my swing and correct my fundamentals. Did those lessons fix my swing? Yes and no. The lessons gave me the right foundation, but it actually took nearly two years for the changes to become natural. Why? Because my body had repeated the same motion for 10 years. Those old habits were deeply ingrained, and replacing them required thousands of repetitions. Why do I share this experience? Because beginners have a tremendous advantage. They can learn proper fundamentals from the start instead of spending years correcting bad habits later. Any qualified instructor can teach the basics of a sound golf swing. After that, the key is repetition. The more you practice correctly, the faster your body learns and remembers the movement. Golf is all about muscle memoryβ€”but muscle memory must be built the right way from the beginning. Since I rebuilt my swingβ€”not perfectly, but close to a fundamentally sound and repeatable motionβ€”I have been helping friends and their friends improve their games. Last September, I earned my USGTF certification, which was a meaningful milestone in my golf journey. My lesson rates are intentionally affordable. It is not because I undervalue my time or experience. Rather, I remember how difficult it was to find quality instruction at a reasonable price when I was looking for one. I believe golf should be accessible to anyone who wants to improve, and I plan to keep my rates that way. One thing I always tell my students is that golf improvement happens during practice, not during lessons. Lessons provide direction, but practice creates results. Without enough practice between lessons, progress becomes slower and more expensive because you are relying solely on lesson time. Professional golfers often hit thousands of balls to make a small adjustment. While amateur golfers do not need to practice at that level, repetition is still essential for building proper muscle memory. To help my students improve between lessons, I provide FREE video analysis. Students can send me their swing videos while practicing, and I can offer feedback before bad habits become permanent. With 25 years of golfing experience, USGTF certification, and structured drills designed for independent practice, I can help you improve one step at a time. Whether you are a beginner learning the fundamentals or a golfer trying to break through a plateau, I would be happy to help. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

I first learned golf as a teenager and was hand-selected by a Head Golf Pro to become an apprentice, aiming to teach and play at a high level. After an injury, I’ve been focusing on rehab while giving lessons, all with the goal of becoming competitive again. With over 25 years of experience, I've honed my skills under the guidance of the legendary Biaggio (Yaz) Consalvo in Northern NJ. Holding a U.S.G.A 7 handicap, I teach players of all ages and skill levelsβ€”from beginners to advanced, ages 5 to 92. My methods are simple and effective, making it easy for anyone to practice at home. Let's link up for a lesson, and I’ll help you find golf to be as or more enjoyable as you ever imagined it to be. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘β˜•οΈ

About Scott

Hi all - I’m looking for some new students for the winter season! It’s a great time to work on swing changes or learn the swing etc. I’ve had some great success over the years with winter training at the range and simulators to either work on the full swing or hone parts of the game. Chipping /putting short game or even speed training for those long drivers. Also breaking down the whole swing to get ready for spring. Tappan good center has a great set up all closed in with heaters or indoors at a sim. For preferably at the range where we can see direct results. Let me know I teach young /older newbies and or high level low handicappers! Thx Recently won first place with a teachme.to student at a local 9-hole scramble event. As an athlete throughout my life, with a background in college baseball, I found a deep love for golf that resonates with many of us. With over 20 years of experience, I have honed my skills in the game, achieving a handicap as low as -2 and currently maintaining a handicap of 3-4. Participating in numerous MGA, USGA, and amateur tour events, I have celebrated victories in a couple of tournaments. My expertise lies in the short game, an area where we can all improve and shave off valuable strokes. Recognizing the significance of course management and maintaining a sharp game, I offer comprehensive instruction in these aspects. Whether building a swing for new players or addressing specific issues and fixes, I am dedicated to helping you enhance your skills on and off the course. Let's work together to hit them straight - if only it were that easy! Any beginner looking for a golf etiquette class please reach out. I’m looking to get a class size of 5-10 where I will go thru all golf etiquette from the tee to the green. Besides being helpful to you also to your fellow golfers you will be paired with! Will make you fit in and teach others. I will also hold a chipping and putting lesson during this 1hr class. Please sign up and let me know so we can dates and locations. Thanks

Every age and level, ages 5 to 18

Coaches in West Point teach juniors from as young as 5 through high-school and competitive athletes, tailoring each session to your child's age, level, and goals β€” whether that is first-time fundamentals, building confidence, or tryout and team prep.

Parents welcome at every golf lesson

Parents are welcome to stay and watch β€” many do, especially with younger kids β€” but it is never required. Either way, your coach shares progress and what to practice between lessons.
