Practice: Short swings with focus on the grip, posture, and ball position. Try some light shots with short irons.
Lessons 11+: Developing Consistency & Skill Refinement
Focus: Advanced swing mechanics, shot variety, course management, and mental game
• Objective: Fine-tune technique and begin to play with confidence on the course.
• Content:
• Swing Refinement: Work on creating a consistent, repeatable swing motion. Start using video analysis to identify swing faults and make necessary adjustments.
• Distance Control: Focus on consistent distances with different clubs, including wedges for short game and mid-to-long irons for full swings.
• Advanced Short Game: Introduce more complex shots like bunker play, flop shots, and putting from various lies and slopes.
• Course Strategy (Advanced): Discuss shot shaping for certain hole layouts. Focus on managing the course rather than just hitting the ball.
• Mental Game: Introduce more advanced mental techniques (visualization, breathing exercises). Teach how to stay focused and patient even when mistakes happen.
Practice:
• Full Swing: Focus on full swings with every club, aiming for more consistent shot-making.
