Your first lessonFirst lesson will be learning the basics and rules. While rules can be specific, they are generally easy to follow and ensure a proper game of pickleball is played.
Lesson 2-3These lessons will be used to become familiar and comfortable with the game. So it will be matches followed up with real time feedback and overviews after each match to first address what went well and what needs improvement then leads into self reflection by student and identifying areas of opportunity.
Lesson 4-10This is now where a level of competitiveness will reveal itself. We’ll focus on short game, utilizing the kitchen section and honing in on serving, doubles positions, and what competition will really be like.
Lesson 11+By the time we reach lesson 11 plus, the point of lessons would be to identify real skill and talent and to increase talent by learning dinking, serving, and targeting technique.
Youth players
Working with kidsI teach kids the same way but the most important is getting them comfortable on the court and having the ability to volley, which is to serve back and forth over and over again.
