I'm quite satisfied with how these lessons with Shayan have gone. He consistently encourages me to build on my existing skills, and I’ve seen steady progress. Though I still need to work on my backhand’s consistency and power. I feel more confident that I will get better at returning volleys with better accuracy. His approach helps me refine specific aspects of my game without feeling overwhelmed, and I’m beginning to see improvements there. Still, I look forward to further sharpening those shots and strengthening my overall game with his guidance. Well, if you’re interested in focusing on your skills and enjoying practical advice, Shayan might be worth trying out.

Hey, the lesson with Shayan was quite enjoyable. We started to incorporate up spin into our play, and honestly, it’s pretty fun to experiment with. Although I still want to see how everything works in a full game, I feel like I’ve got a better grasp on some techniques. Still, there’s always room to sharpen those skills even more. Considering where I was before, I’d suggest giving Shayan a try if you're into developing your game thoughtfully.

Oh, Shayan's lesson was quite helpful, especially with the focus on proper paddle positioning and shot consistency. I’d say the improvements in my control are noticeable, though I still hope to get a bit more comfortable with footwork. Still, it’s made a difference and I’m looking forward to building on what I learned. Would be interesting to try another lesson soon.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn the first session, my goal is to make beginners feel comfortable and confident. We start with a light warm-up, learn the court layout, and practice how to hold the paddle and hit forehands and backhands. I keep it fun and simple, and we get rallying right away—even if it’s just a few hits over the net. The focus is on movement, balance, and having fun while getting familiar with the basics. I will also be accessing your level and giving you feedback.
Lesson 11+At this point, students are more comfortable with gameplay. We focus on building muscle memory, refining technique, and understanding game strategy. I also include more movement-based drills, court positioning, and practice matches to prep them for social or competitive play. Every session stays tailored to their pace, health, and goals.
Lesson 4-10These lessons go deeper into shot control, third shot drops, volleys, resets, and basic doubles strategy. I tailor the pace to the student’s comfort and mobility level. We also start improving fitness, balance, and strength through warm-ups and drills. Everything stays personalized and fun, so the student grows technically and physically with each session.
Lesson 2-3Now we build on what they’ve learned. I introduce serving, returning, dinks, and the kitchen rules. We also do light footwork and movement drills to improve coordination and court awareness. Students can expect more hitting time, fun mini-games, and easy scoring practice to build confidence and consistency.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI start by understanding the player’s current level, strengths, goals, and pain points. We run through some live hitting, serve/return, third shot drops, dinks, and transition play to assess movement and shot selection. From there, I tailor a game plan specific to the player’s needs—whether it’s footwork, shot precision, or strategy.
Lesson 11+This stage is all about sharpening decision-making, mastering patterns, and preparing for competitive/tournament play. We simulate match scenarios, breakdown in-game habits, and polish high-level skills like misdirection, speed-up counters, and intentional dinking. Everything remains personalized, with performance tracking and feedback to keep leveling up.
Lesson 4-10We go deeper into strategy: stacking, attacking vs. defending, reset mechanics, and shot selection under pressure. Players will work on executing high-percentage plays, controlling pace, and handling fast hands battles. Sessions include advanced drills, situational point play, and custom fitness routines for endurance and court coverage.
Lesson 2-3These sessions focus on building consistency and tightening fundamentals. We refine third shot drops, transition footwork, and net play. I incorporate targeted drills based on the player’s goals (e.g., more aggressive play, faster resets, smarter positioning). We also review video (if they’re open to it) for form analysis.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids, I keep the lessons high-energy, fun, and filled with movement. I use games and simple challenges to teach fundamentals like paddle control, footwork, and coordination. I make sure every child feels successful, supported, and excited to play. The focus is on building confidence, basic skills, and a love for the game in a safe, encouraging environment.

Working with teenagersWith teens, I strike a balance between structure and fun. I focus on skill-building, technique, and strategy—but I also keep the sessions interactive and motivating. Whether they’re playing for fun, school teams, or competitive goals, I personalize each session to their level and mindset. We work on discipline, agility, confidence, and how to enjoy the game while improving every time they step on the court.

What you need to bringJust wear comfortable clothes, proper court shoes, and bring water!

What I can bringI can bring paddles, balls, cones, agility tools, and sometimes resistance bands—depending on the session focus. If you’re just starting out, I’ve got you covered with everything you need.
