About your pickleball coach
I hold a professional degree in Human Resource Development from Ohio State University, which focuses on adult education. With 45 years of experience playing and coaching soccer, when I began pickleball I became a student of the game. Pretty obsessive actually. I've recently expanded my coaching to include beginner pickleball at the Wadsworth YMCA and weekly sessions with Special Olympics athletes. My diverse background allows me to bring a level of knowledge and passion to coaching, helping players of lower to mid levels develop their skills and confidence.

Tom was absolutely amazing and made the lesson super fun and a blast to learn the basics of the game. He has a great personality and made the experience light hearted and enjoyable. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for private one on one or group lessons. He is very experienced in Pickleball and his instructions and corrections were clear, concise and encouraging. I’m definitely looking forward to my next lessons with him.

Tom's been a great mentor to me for a long time, great person to get technical/mechanical/strategic advice from snowboarding, to soccer, golf, and now the latest thing he's learned everything(hes modest though, he would never claim that) about is pickleball. He's improved my timing and 2's positioning a lot just by talking to me about it on the weekends and to me it made a noticeable difference.

He is extremely good at redirecting me when I start to slip back into bad hitting techniques all the way down to the little details to improve my game. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will cover the basics from the beginning. Grip, set up, dinking, drives, tactics, and scorekeeping.
Lesson 2-3Depending on pace of advancement, we will enhance tactical knowledge and skills. Including but not limited to spin, resets, drops, and singles and doubles strategies.
